Cyrus Reed of the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club joined us to talk about the 14th Renewable Energy Roundup and Sustainable Living Exposition in Belton, TX. The event includes interactive workshops, lectures, discussions, kids activities, and demonstrations related to sustainability living and renewable energy on September 26, 27 and 28. The Web site is www.theroundup.org.
We also were joined by Joseph Barletta of Smart Charge Residential. Joseph discussed the National Drive Electric Week culminating with an Austin event on September 20th called “Austin Picnic in the Park“. You will have a chance to test drive many electric vehicles, and examine various charging systems. There will also be fun and educational activities for families and kids.
Returning guest Jere Locke, environmental activist and representative of the Texas Drought Project joined us in the studio to let folks know about an important event “the People’s Climate March“. There will be a massive march in NYC and a coinciding march in Austin that will begin at the south side of the Capitol building at 1:30 PM on Sunday September 21, 2014. The event will begin at 11 AM with speakers and general information followed by the march down Congress Avenue.
